PCLAPA (Cleft Hospital)

Pakistan Cleft Lip & Palate Association (PCLAPA) is Pakistan’s pioneering initiative in comprehensive cleft care. It provides interdisciplinary treatment for congenital cleft lip and palate. For over three decades, it has been delivering international-standard, quality treatment under one roof. Its services are designed to ensure egalitarian healthcare within the reach of the common man. Currently, PCLAPA operates through the Cleft Hospital of Pakistan, the country’s only specialized cleft care hospital. The hospital serves cleft patients and also provides capacity-building training for plastic surgeons.

Decent Welfare Society

Decent Welfare Society (DWS) provides community support and humanitarian relief in response to emerging needs, alongside its ongoing programs in disability rehabilitation and community health. It delivers social welfare services at an institutional level. Currently, DWS operates through its subsidiary organizations, including the Mohamed & Jubaida Gatrad Artificial Limb and Clubfoot Centre, Sook Kalan Dispensary, and Khawaja Muhammad Aslam Free Eye Clinic.

Club Foot Center

The Rehabilitation Centre for Persons with Disabilities, namely the Mahomed Gatrad Artificial Limb and Clubfoot Centre, is a specialized health facility operated under Decent Welfare Society. It is named after Mahomed Gatrad, the father of its benefactor, Dr. Abdul Rashid Gatrad, who is also a close friend of Dr. Ijaz Bashir. The centre provides comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation services for patients with clubfoot, limb loss, paralysis, cerebral palsy, and other physical impairments.
