Family Legacy

Dr. Ijaz Bashir is a scion of the Decent Family, a prominent industrialist family of Gujrat, Punjab, Pakistan. His father, the late Mirza Muhammad Bashir, was a self-made entrepreneur and the founder of Decent Furniture, which, under his entrepreneurial leadership, grew into one of Pakistan’s pioneering furniture enterprises.

Through its manufacturing and commercial activities, Decent Furniture generated employment opportunities, provided livelihoods for numerous families, and contributed to Pakistan’s economy through the production of export-quality furniture. Owing to the widespread recognition of Decent Furniture, the family became popularly known as the “Decent Family”, a name that subsequently evolved into its public family identity.

His mother, the late Begum Ayesha Bashir, was a compassionate philanthropist who devoted herself to charitable work, particularly in support of marginalized and underprivileged communities.
